Rising Tensions: US Deploys Naval Power as Iran Issues Missile Warning; BLA Claims Attacks on Pakistani Forces

US Deploys One-Third of Its Navy Amid Escalating Tensions with Iran

Tensions between the United States and Iran are intensifying, with both sides engaging in strategic maneuvers while simultaneously talking about dialogue. The United States has deployed one-third of its naval strength in a show of force against Iran. Two major carrier battle groups have been positioned, reportedly to prepare for what is being described as the 21st century’s biggest potential conflict.

Former US President Donald Trump reportedly sent a second carrier strike group to surround Iran. The reason appears clear: Iran is not Syria, Yemen, Hezbollah, or Venezuela. Containing Iran is considered far more complex, and even a single carrier strike group may not be sufficient to counter it.

Iran’s Strong Warnings to the US and Israel

Iranian commanders have signaled firm intentions against the United States and Israel. Iran’s Army Chief, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, warned that Trump should think ten times before attacking Iran. He questioned why the US would pursue talks if it truly intended war. Mousavi stated that if Iran were attacked, it would deliver a lesson that would never be forgotten.

Iran’s Supreme Leader also criticized the United States on social media, stating that although the US President claims to have the world’s most powerful army, any attack this time would leave that force unable to stand again.

Khorramshahr-4 Missile Video Goes Viral

Iran released a viral video showcasing the Khorramshahr-4 missile, also known as Khaibar. The footage shows a transporter erector launcher preparing the missile for launch from an underground base as the clock strikes midnight. The missile is then launched toward what are described as American and Israeli bases.

The Khorramshahr-4 is described as a new-generation Iranian missile capable of carrying a 1.5-ton warhead. The video highlights its destructive potential and multi-warhead attack capability. Iran has repeatedly displayed the missile, emphasizing its power and readiness.

Reports also claim that Iran fired a missile in the Strait of Hormuz during military exercises, further escalating tensions. With heavy US naval deployment in the region and Iran asserting its ability to sink warships, the situation appears increasingly volatile, with dialogue giving way to military signaling.

Baloch Liberation Army Claims Capture of Pakistani Soldiers

Amid these global tensions, developments have also emerged in Pakistan’s Balochistan region. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) released videos claiming it had captured Pakistani soldiers. In one video, a soldier identified himself as Mohammad Sharam from Sheikhupura, stating he joined the Pakistan Army in 2020.

The BLA claimed to have captured seven soldiers and demanded a formal agreement for prisoner exchange within seven days. The organization stated that if the Pakistani government agrees within the deadline, the captives could be released in exchange for Baloch prisoners. The group accused the Pakistani government of previously ignoring similar proposals.

Operation Herof 2.0 and Casualty Claims

The captured soldiers were reportedly taken during Operation Herof 2.0, launched by the BLA against Pakistani forces in January. The group claimed to have attacked 14 cities across Balochistan, carrying out a series of blasts targeting the army and other security forces.

The BLA claimed that 200 Pakistani security personnel were killed and several others captured during the operation. However, the Pakistani military acknowledged casualties but stated that 17 soldiers were killed.

A Widening Arc of Conflict

With the United States and Iran exchanging warnings and military demonstrations, and unrest intensifying in Balochistan, the geopolitical climate appears increasingly unstable. Heavy naval deployments, missile demonstrations, and militant operations point toward a period marked more by force projection than diplomatic progress.
